MILWAUKEE – May 21, 2010 – Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. officials are excited to announce the Scion “Battle at the Bubbler” Pro/AM BMX and Sk8board Competition which will take place June 4 and 5 at VERGE Music Festival, powered by FM 102.1.

The competition is an invitation-only event hosted by VERGE and produced by 4Seasons Skate Park that will feature some of the toughest and most creative competitors around. Fans can check out skate and BMX demos and practice sessions on Friday and cheer on their favorite athletes in the competition on Saturday. Competitors such as Jeff Klugiewicz, Tony Neyer, Andre Colbert and Shane Browning, just to name a few, will be vying to take home the grand prize for either BMX or Sk8board, $550 for first place and lasting fame. Prizes will also be awarded for second and third place as well as for best trick in both BMX and Sk8board. Winners will be determined by competition judges and announced Saturday at 9:00 pm.

The “Battle at the Bubbler” is sponsored by Scion, a marque of vehicles produced by Toyota Motor Corporation for the North American market targeting the young and creative Generation Y. Introduced in 2002 and rolled out nationwide in 2004, Scion creates vehicles that are as different and unique as their drivers, encouraging owners to customize their vehicles right down to the shift knob. Scion will be on hand at VERGE allowing fans to actually get in Scion vehicles to discover what they are all about and check them out. Scion also sponsors 4Seasons Skate Park, a place where local youth are encouraged to practice their sport, grow as individuals and connect with the community no matter their skill level.
